About Us

Chef Kevin Jamil

Chef Kevin was born & raised in Los Angeles, California. Kevin attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College & received his AA in Culinary Arts. He also has a SERV Safe Certification in food handling and preparation.    


While in school, Kevin received recognition for a dish that he prepared and was chosen to assist a world-renowned chef at an Oscar Awards after party. 


Kevin’s love and passion for cooking started at a young age while watching his mother cook meals for the family. He loves preparing Mexican cuisine and is known for signature sauces that he creates for his tacos. He also loves preparing Italian food.


Kevin enjoys combining various spices to create a unique flavor for the dishes he makes. He loves entertaining and the best compliment is when people enjoy his food. Kevin’s cooking inspiration by Chef Gordon Ramsey and Chef Emeril Lagasse. 

Chef Jeffrey Sneel

Chef Jeff was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His love of cooking began as a kid and developed out of necessity and a flair for the creative. He spent Sunday afternoons making waffle batter from scratch to make mountains of waffles to freeze for the week. Voila, can you say, “I got my Eggo.”


Jeff continued to learn the art of cooking by watching his mom throw down great meals inspired by her Louisiana roots and breaking down prepared meals ingredients to build complete dishes from scratch.

As a self-taught chef, Jeff continued to develop his culinary skills listening to Jackie Olden’s radio show daily while working his sales job and watching the classic New Orleans legend, Justin Wilson’s Saturday TV show.

While not attending a full cooking school program, Jeff has taken several professional courses and continued to develop skills and techniques at professional levels.


From waffles and tacos to lasagna and full Thanksgiving feasts, although Jeff started as a savory cook, it’s his award-winning deserts that have set him apart from the pack. His cheesecakes, bread pudding and kicked-up “ding dongs” have won several local contests and built strong word-of-mouth followings.


In addition to K-Jay Catering, Jeff founded a baking business, Cherry Cloud Desserts, specializing in decadent pound cakes and cheesecakes.
